The Crab “There will be no peace with the Shadowlands!”

The Crab are
still adjusting to the return of the Great Bear, Hida Kisada, who has crossed over from the spirit world to
become mortal once more. Kisada has not moved to assert his authority over the Clan and has allowed Hida Kuon
to continue as Clan Champion. Instead he has taken residence in a fortress on the Wall, and has begun to
attract a number of followers who seek his wisdom. The Crab are currently very strong, holding alliances with
the Crane and Unicorn while having open conflict with no faction in the Empire. The Crab are aware of a
growing conflict in the Shadowlands. Hida Kisada and Hida Kuon differ as to their preferred approach in
exploiting this conflict. Kisada senses a unique opportunity to divide the Shadowlands forces, while Kuon
resists any attempt involve the Clan with Daigotsu’s forces for fear of becoming entangled in another
corrupted plot to undermine the Empire.
